Job summary

EFNLHN, part of SA Health, is seeking a Casual Community Support Worker in Ceduna to assist residents at home and maintain independence. You’ll deliver tailored support within Consumer Directed Care, focusing on personal care, daily tasks, transport, and social engagement.

Shifts are on a 7-day roster, with WHD4 requiring higher-level personal care. Multi-classified as WHD-3 or WHD-4, casual positions run until 30 June 2027.

Qualifications

• Warm, empathetic approach and ability to work independently in remote Ceduna.
• Strong communication skills and respect for diverse cultures, including Aboriginal communities.
• Experience supporting aged, frail, or people living with disability.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small community-based team.
• For WHD4: Certificate III or higher in Individual Support.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility in a respectful and dignified manner.
• Perform household tasks including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and minor gardening.
• Provide reliable transport to appointments and community outings.
• Support social engagement and activities contributing to client wellbeing.
• At WHD4 level, deliver personal care to clients with more complex needs.
