Job summary

Randstad partners with ALPA to recruit an Activities Coordinator for a remote residential role in Arnhem Land. You will oversee site logistics, maintain small engines, mentor Yolŋu participants, and deliver hands-on trades training in a remote Aboriginal community.

The role requires independence, practical skills in groundskeeping or mechanical repairs, and strong cultural awareness to thrive in remote environments while building local capacity.

Qualifications

• Practical background in trades, groundskeeping, mechanical repairs, or heavy outdoor operations.
• Drive to mentor, coach, and build capability in others.
• Solid cultural awareness and resilience to thrive in remote environments.
• Practical, resource-smart approach to engage participants in resource-poor conditions.
• NT Working with Children Clearance & First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain.
• Computer literacy and tracking operational outcomes and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Site & Gear Coordination: Oversee site logistics, maintain small engines, and keep workshops stocked.
• Hands-On Mentoring: Work with Yolŋu Supervisors and participants to teach practical skills.
• Logistics & Safety: Manage site purchasing, stock ordering, safety briefings, reporting.
• Community Enterprise: Build partnerships with Elders and Traditional Owners for community-led projects.
