Job summary

Randstad, in partnership with ALPA, is seeking dedicated retail couples to lead operations in remote Outback Australia. This unique role offers free housing, utilities covered, and a path to impactful community development with First Nations communities in Arnhem Land.

Reporting to store leadership, you will manage daily operations, stock, safety, and staff development while embracing a culturally diverse team and remote work environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' experience in retail or similar fast-paced env.
Experience with point-of-sale, stock control, and staff management systems.
Ability to thrive in remote or regional settings and lead diverse teams.

Responsibilities

Support Store Manager in daily operations and weekend/late rosters.
Unloading pallets, stock restocking, and safe manual handling.
Oversee closing procedures and cash reconciliation.
Coach and train local staff to foster consistent employment.
Support café or takeaway operations while upholding food safety.
Participate in stocktakes, safety audits, and compliance.
Commit to 6–12 month development path to Store Manager role.
