Job summary

The Future Generation Joint Venture, involving Clough Limited, is delivering the Snowy 2.0 project in the Snowy Mountains, NSW.

The Draftsperson will produce accurate and detailed civil drawings for structures and systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and supporting shop drawings for project delivery. You will read multidisciplinary drawings, coordinate with engineers, and contribute to on-time delivery near remote sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in drafting, civil engineering, or related field.
• White Card.
• Minimum 2 years of civil drafting experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM tools (Revit/Revizto/Tekla/Navisworks).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings from multiple disciplines.
• Familiarity with drawing standards (AS1100/ISO).
• Good understanding of civil construction methods and BIM workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed construction drawings for civil works (e.g., dams, tunnels, intakes) from design and calculations.
• Update and revise drawings based on markups and instructions.
• Interpret engineering sketches and specifications.
• Maintain drawing logs and archive drawings per document control procedures.
• Coordinate with engineers and the senior draftsperson to resolve drawing issues.
• Ensure drawings align with project standards and revisions are tracked.
• Support document control and drawing submission processes.
• Conduct basic quantity take-offs and verify bar lists from drawings.
• Participate in design review meetings and incorporate feedback.
• Support environmental and safety compliance through accurate site constraints.
• Identify and communicate design or construction clashes.
