Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Biotech Health Data Governance Lead (AI Training) for a fully remote, hourly contract role. You will steer governance of biotech research and clinical trial data powering AI models, ensuring accuracy, lineage, and auditability for scientific analyses and regulatory submissions.

You will define and enforce data policies, enable secure access for analytics and collaborations, and work with cross-functional teams to align standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading data governance programs within biotech, life sciences, or regulated data environments.
• Strong knowledge of data privacy, security, and regulatory frameworks (FDA, GCP, HIPAA, GDPR).
• Ability to translate governance requirements into clear policies and workflows.
• Collaborative, bridging scientific, technical, and compliance teams.

Responsibilities

• Govern biotech research and clinical trial data to ensure accuracy, lineage, and auditability for analyses and regulatory submissions.
• Define and enforce data policies covering classification, access controls, security protocols, and metadata standards across research, clinical, regulatory, and partner teams.
• Enable governed access to sensitive data for analytics and collaborations while protecting patient information.
• Collaborate with scientific, IT, compliance, and business stakeholders to align data standards and workflows.
• Identify gaps in data governance processes and implement scalable solutions.
