Job summary

FinXL IT Professional Services in Sydney CBD is seeking an Associate Oracle DBA to deliver upgrades and migrations. The role supports work from home and Sydney CBD-based activities, requiring strong Oracle DBA skills and a modern DevOps mindset.

Ideal candidates will have experience with Exadata, security/compliance, automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform), and performance tuning using AWR/ADDM, along with SQL/PL-SQL, Python, and shell scripting.

Qualifications

• Oracle DBA background with upgrade & migrations experience.
• Experience with Oracle databases on Exadata.
• Security best practices, encryption, auditing & compliance.
• Automation, DevOps, scripting; tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform.
• Performance tuning using AWR, ADDM and Event Settings.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Cosmos or other NoSQL databases.
• Advanced SQL & PL/SQL; Python & Shell scripting.
• Engineering and holistic technology stack experience.
• OCP or OCM certification would be an advantage.
• Experience in change, incident, and problem management.
• Experience in agile methodologies; Confluence & Jira.
