Job summary

Outlier is seeking detail-oriented English speakers to review AI-generated media. Hold live conversations with AI voice models, compare image and video pairs, and explain what’s off, all remotely and on your own schedule.

You’ll help shape how AI systems reason, learn, and improve through detailed evaluations and written explanations. Ideal candidates are fluent in English with strong written communication, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to make clear judgments when faced with

Qualifications

• Fluent English speaker with clear written communication and comfort with natural everyday speech.
• Strong attention to detail and patience to replay/zoom in when something seems off.
• Bachelor's degree or above is nice to have.
• Able to think on your feet and discuss realistic situations conversationally.
• Experience writing short, evidence-based explanations or reviews.
• Able to make clear decisions when both options have flaws.

Responsibilities

• Holding a live, scenario-based conversation in English with AI voice models, then ranking how natural, useful, and clear each one sounded.
• Comparing pairs of AI-generated images and videos and judging which better follows the prompt.
• Inspecting outputs closely, including zooming in and replaying, to spot problems like distorted anatomy, flickering or unnatural motion, text errors, and audio-video mismatch.
• Rating each output across dimensions like adherence, quality, and realism, then writing a specific explanation in English that points to what you saw or heard.
• Image evaluations: compare two AI-generated images for the same text prompt and pick the better one.
• Video evaluations: rank AI-generated videos against a text prompt or edited videos against their source clip.
• Video caption labeling: label first-person videos of people or robots doing hands-on tasks with precise captions.
