Job summary

Macquarie Bank Limited’s Remediation Data Analytics team delivers remediation programs and control reporting across Banking and Financial Services. You will analyze diverse datasets, identify impacted customer populations, calculate compensation, and prepare accurate remediation outputs while developing control reports that reveal risks and help prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data or analytics.
• Well-versed in SQL and Python, with the ability to work confidently and efficiently across large datasets.
• Active user of AI tools (Copilot, Claude, Gemini) to accelerate analysis and day-to-day work.
• Demonstrate a curious and detail-oriented mindset, with a strong desire to investigate anomalies, uncover root causes, and translate insights into actionable outcomes.
• Willingness to learn about different financial products and combine analytical output with commercial thinking to reach practical outcomes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A collaborative and adaptable mindset, with the ability to work through ambiguity, challenge constructively and build trusted relationships across teams
• Experience in financial services or remediations is a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Identify impacted customer populations, calculate compensation, and prepare accurate remediation outputs.
• Develop control reporting that provides ongoing visibility of risks and issues across product areas.
• Partner with stakeholders across different product areas and seniority levels to understand product mechanics and translate complex problems into actionable solutions.
• Leverage SQL, Python, and AI tools to explore data, automate analysis, and drive continuous improvements in remediation processes.
