Job summary

SVR Construction Recruitment is seeking a qualified carpenter to join a licensed remedial building and waterproofing contractor in Brisbane. The role involves carrying out carpentry repairs and reinstatement on residential, strata, commercial and industrial properties across Queensland.

You will work on varied remedial projects, often in occupied buildings, performing tasks from cracking injection and concrete repairs to door/window replacements and finishes.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in carpentry (Cert III or equivalent).
• Experience in renovation, maintenance, insurance or remedial carpentry.
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out remedial building works, including crack injection, concrete repairs and related tasks.
• Remedial carpentry such as replacing water-damaged or rotted timber, framing repairs, fascias, eaves, decks and balustrades.
• Removing and reinstating finishes, fixtures and fittings to enable repairs after leaks or waterproofing works.
• Repairing and replacing doors, windows and associated framing and trims.
• Working with waterproofers, roofers and other trades to complete projects.
• Attending make-safe and post-storm repair works as required.
