Job summary

Atlas People is seeking a Creative Chef for a dynamic regional venue in Newcastle, NSW. You’ll join the Head Chef and regularly run the kitchen on their days off, delivering high-quality, à la carte dishes in a bustling bistro-style setting.

This role offers transport to and from work, accommodation, meals on shift, and ongoing career progression within Atlas People. ALL applicants must have full Australian working rights and be willing to obtain a National Police Check.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic; excellent communication and teamwork.
• Capable of producing consistent, high-quality dishes.
• Positive, can-do attitude with reliable reliability.
• Own traditional uniform and knives.
• Experience with quality à la carte dining.
• Keen eye for detail during service and prep.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations when Head Chef is off.
• Prepare and present high-quality à la carte dishes.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop menus and specials.
• Maintain standards of cleanliness, safety and efficiency.
• Mentor junior staff and uphold service pace in a busy venue.
