Job summary

St Mary’s War Memorial Primary School in NSW is seeking a Religious Education Coordinator to lead spiritual formation and deliver a values-based curriculum for a Catholic school community.

You will guide liturgies, social justice initiatives and faith programs, empowering students to live with compassion, respect and integrity in a rural NSW setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching required.
• NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) required.
• NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation required.

About the Role

As a Religious Education Coordinator, you are entrusted with leading the spiritual and ethical formation of the school community. You oversee the delivery of a rich and engaging curriculum that not only explores faith traditions but also encourages students to think critically about values, purpose, and moral responsibility. Through guiding liturgies, social justice initiatives, and faith-based programs, you help shape a school culture where students are empowered to live with compassion, respect, and integrity.

Eligibility Criteria

An applicant must:

• Be a practicing Catholic;
• Provide a reference from a current Parish Priest;
• Have completed or be due to complete Accreditation E in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education, Canberra and Goulburn Policy.
