Job summary

QML Pathology in Brisbane is seeking a full-time Multi-disciplined Relieving Scientist to support Metro Central stat labs and regional sites across Queensland. The role requires an AIMS-accredited Laboratory Medicine degree with Haematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Transfusion Science, and involves a rotating 24-hour roster with weekend, public holiday and night shifts.

The successful candidate will handle specimen receipt, operate multiple analysers, perform rapid PCR, SEMI- nal analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Specimen receipt and processing
• Use and maintenance of analysers and equipment
• Perform rapid PCR on GeneXpert
• Perform seminal analysis
• Perform STAT Microscopy
• QC monitoring and participation in surveys
• Liaison with hospital staff and external customers
