Job summary

Queensland Health Brisbane North is seeking a Senior Scientist in Pathology to apply advanced analysis of patient specimens in Anatomical Pathology, supervise histology training and provide expert advice to peers, surgeons and clinicians. The role demands leadership, commitment to ongoing education and active research collaboration within the service and with external partners.

Qualifications

• Advanced independent scientific judgement in Anatomical Pathology.
• High-level knowledge of Histology and ability to supervise scientist training programs.
• Experience with histology processes and supervision of staff development.
• Ability to provide expert advice impacting patient care to peers, pathologists, surgeons and clinicians.
• Leadership in education and professional development activities.

Responsibilities

• Analyse patient specimens in Anatomical Pathology.
• Supervise histology training programs for scientists.
