AESSEAL is seeking a Reliability Specialist / Mechanical Sales Professional to service Mackay and surrounding regions. This field-based role involves site visits, customer relationship building and delivering reliability solutions across pumps and seals.

Regular travel to Townsville and interstate opportunities are part of the role. Based in Mackay, you will work with the global AESSEAL team, receive full product training, and be supported by a strong local team and an established partner

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in industrial sales
• Solid mechanical knowledge and aptitude
• Engineering qualification highly regarded but not essential

Responsabilités

• Promote AESSEAL's mechanical seals and support systems
• Develop new business while maintaining relationships with existing customers
• Provide technical advice on seals, reliability solutions and pumps
• Identify opportunities to expand product sales and provide tailored support
• Collaborate with the national sales team on pump-related enquiries
• Support customers with pump selection, sizing and system performance analysis
• Conduct regular site visits across Mackay, Townsville and surrounding regions
• Travel interstate when required for training, meetings and events

Reliability Specialist / Mechanical Sales Professional

We are seeking an experienced Reliability Specialist / Mechanical Sales Professional to join our team in Mackay, Queensland.

This is a field-based position servicing the Mackay and Townsville regions, with regular travel required between both locations to support customers and business activities. You will play a key role in building and maintaining strong customer relationships, conducting site visits, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering technical reliability solutions across the region. From time to time, interstate travel may also be required for customer meetings, training, company events, and team collaboration activities.

What You'll Be Doing

• Promote AESSEAL's range of mechanical seals and seal support systems.
• Develop new business while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
• Provide technical advice and reporting on seals, reliability solutions, and pumps.
• Identify opportunities to expand product sales and provide tailored support.
• Collaborate with the national sales team on pump-related enquiries.
• Support customers with pump selection, sizing, and system performance analysis.
• Deliver reliable, customer-focused service across multiple levels - from technicians to senior management.
• Conduct regular customer and client site visits throughout the Townsville region and surrounding areas.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, from maintenance personnel through to senior decision-makers.
• Represent AESSEAL professionally within the local market, identifying opportunities to expand customer partnerships and business growth.
• Travel interstate when required for training, internal meetings, customer support activities, and professional development.

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years' experience in industrial sales with a solid foundation in mechanical knowledge (essential).
• Technically adept, with the ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts.
• Engineering qualification highly regarded but no essential.
• Working knowledge or general understanding of mechanical seals.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate customer needs into tailored solutions.
• Proven confidence in business development, including a proactive approach to cold calling.
• Self-driven and organised, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Competent in using computer systems and reporting tools.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Mackay, or Townsville, QLD, with the flexibility to undertake regular regional travel and occasional interstate travel for training, meetings, and customer engagement activities.
