Job summary

IREN is seeking a Reliability & Observability Analyst II to support our 24/7 HPC Data Center Operations. You will perform advanced incident triage, tune alerts and dashboards, and develop small automations to reduce toil and improve time-to-action.

You will partner with engineering and operations, validate telemetry, and ensure actionable signals for real-time triage and escalation in GPU-based environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in IOC/NOC/SRE-adjacent roles in 24/7 environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Proven reliability engineering practices to improve detection, response and stability.
• Strong Linux and basic networking knowledge across compute, network and facility domains.
• Experience with GPU-based compute environments and high-density clusters.
• Track record reducing false positives and improving alert routing.
• Experience building/maintaining service health dashboards and SLI/SLO reporting.
• Ability to correlate logs, metrics and alerts across distributed systems.
• Familiarity with AIOps outputs and validating automated signals.
• Ability to write/modify small automation scripts to streamline triage.
• Experience with ITSM tooling and monitoring platforms; ability to produce RCAs.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced Level 2 incident analysis across GPU clusters, networks and facilities.
• Maintain IOC dashboards and metrics for alert effectiveness and incident response.
• Identify gaps in monitoring; tune thresholds, routing, suppression and enrichment.
• Own alert quality outcomes and reduce false positives and alert fatigue.
• Analyze GPU health signals during incidents to improve triage and escalation.
• Validate automated detection/correlation outputs for accuracy.
• Implement IOC automation to standardize response and reduce toil.
• Ensure incident records and timelines meet quality standards; support RCA workflows.
• Provide coaching to junior analysts on triage patterns and runbook usage.
• Support IOC shift operations and handoffs with on-call teams.
