Job summary

Mauri, part of the George Weston Foods Group, is building a state-of-the-art flour mill in Ballarat. We are seeking a Reliability Fitter to join our lean, high-performing team, responsible for commissioning and maintaining advanced milling technology on site.

The role blends electrical and mechanical expertise with automation and data-driven diagnostics. You will work during installation and throughout operations, delivering proactive maintenance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Dual-trade background or strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Restricted electrical licence preferred for non-dual trade applicants.
• Experience with PLCs and industrial control systems in manufacturing.
• Proactive problem-solver with learning mindset and digital systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams and partners.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning of electrical and control systems including PLCs, SCADA, and sensors.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose faults and use control systems to drive performance.
• Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to manage outsourced work.
• Contribute to system optimisation and automation upgrades.
• Participate in call-back and weekend coverage as part of a lean, agile team.
