Job summary

Evolution Mining's Cowal Gold Operations is seeking a proactive Reliability Engineer to shape the reliability and performance of critical processing assets, including crushing, grinding, flotation, leaching and tailings systems, on a 5:2/4:3 residential roster.

Reporting to the Superintendent – Reliability, you’ll drive preventive maintenance improvements, analyse failure trends, and collaborate with maintenance and operations to deliver lasting operational value.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in maintenance, reliability or asset management within mining or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of RCA, defect elimination, RCM or FMEA.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret equipment performance and maintenance data.
• Ability to build relationships with operations and maintenance stakeholders.
• Proficiency with MS Office and CMMS; willingness to leverage digital tools.
• Continuous improvement mindset and a passion for delivering sustainable results.
• Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Improve equipment reliability and availability through preventive maintenance optimisation and RCm principles.
• Analyse failure trends, equipment performance and maintenance data to identify reliability improvements.
• Support maintenance and operational teams with technical engineering expertise.
• Contribute to engineering projects from concept through to evaluation and implementation.
• Build capability across the maintenance team through coaching and knowledge sharing.
