Job summary

Ravenswood Gold seeks an experienced Reliability Engineer to maximise the performance, availability, and longevity of our processing plant assets. You will lead reliability improvement initiatives and optimise maintenance strategies across mining operations.

Reporting to the Planning & Reliability Superintendent, you will analyse plant data, review RCAs, conduct FMECA workshops, and drive PMO programs while ensuring safety compliance and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years in reliability, maintenance or engineering within mining or heavy industry.
• Experience applying reliability methodologies such as RCM, FMECA, RCA and criticality analysis.
• Strong CMMS experience; Pronto CMMS is highly regarded.
• Solid knowledge of Queensland mining safety legislation.
• Experience in fixed plant processing environments incl. crushing, grinding and CIL/CIP.
• Advanced analytical skills with Excel/Power BI or similar tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Current Queensland driver's licence.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, review and improve asset management strategies across fixed plant environments.
• Analyse performance data and prepare reliability reports with recommendations.
• Review condition monitoring data (vibration, oil sampling) and advise corrective actions.
• Conduct RCAs to identify failure modes and prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with OEMs, vendors and technical specialists to resolve issues.
• Lead FMECA workshops and develop maintenance strategies for critical assets.
• Drive PMO initiatives to improve maintenance effectiveness.
• Champion continuous improvement projects from concept to implementation.
• Support maintenance and operations with technical expertise to boost plant performance and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with site safety standards and Queensland mining legislation.

Working closely with maintenance, operations, and technical teams, you will leadreliabilityimprovement initiatives, optimise maintenance strategies, and drive asset performance across our gold processing operations.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Planning &ReliabilitySuperintendent, you will be responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and continuously improving asset management strategies across a diverse fixed plant environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analysing plant performance data and preparingreliabilityreports with actionable recommendations.
• Monitoring keyreliabilitymetrics such as availability, downtime, MTBF, and MTTR.
• Reviewing condition monitoring data, including vibration analysis and oil sampling results, and recommending corrective actions.
• Conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations to identify failure modes and prevent reoccurrence.
• Liaising with OEMs, vendors, technical specialists, and consultants to resolve equipment performance issues.
• Facilitating FMECA workshops and developing robust maintenance strategies for critical assets.
• Leading Preventative Maintenance Optimisation (PMO) initiatives to improve maintenance effectiveness.
• Identifying, championing, and delivering continuous improvement projects from concept through to implementation.
• Supporting maintenance and operational teams with technical expertise to enhance plant performance andreliability.
• Ensuring compliance with site safety standards and Queensland mining legislation.

About You:

You are a safety-focused and solutions-driven engineer who thrives on improving equipment performance and reducing maintenance costs through strategicreliabilityinitiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a reliability, maintenance, or engineering role within mining, mineral processing, or heavy industry.
• Demonstrated experience applyingreliabilitymethodologies including RCM, FMECA, RCA, criticality analysis, and defect elimination.
• Strong experience using CMMS platforms for maintenance and asset management analysis (Pronto experience highly regarded).
• Sound understanding of Queensland mining safety and health legislation.
• Experience within fixed plant processing environments, including crushing, grinding, and CIL/CIP circuits.
• Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A current Queensland driver's licence.
• A passion for continuous improvement and delivering measurable business outcomes.
