Job summary

Ravenswood Gold is seeking a highly organised Fixed Plant Processing & Operational Maintenance Planner to join the Processing and Maintenance team at Queensland's largest gold mine. You will plan and schedule day-to-day activities to keep the processing plant running safely and efficiently.

Work with Processing, Maintenance, Reliability, Warehouse and Contractor teams to ensure work is planned, resourced and executed to plan.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Fixed Plant Maintenance or similar heavy industry.
• Experience developing work packs, schedules and maintenance plans.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and process flow diagrams.
• CMMS experience, Pronto preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel; Project an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Own the work management process for the Processing Department, ensuring planned work is scheduled and executed.
• Develop weekly processing and laboratory work schedules with Supervisors and Superintendents.
• Review work requests and develop detailed job plans with labour, tooling, permits and resources.
• Monitor KPIs such as PM effectiveness, schedule compliance and backlog management.
• Support plant improvement initiatives with Maintenance, Reliability and Metallurgical teams.
• Develop work packages and procedures for complex activities including shutdown prep and plant modifications.
• Review completed work and continuously improve maintenance plans and CMMS data.
• Coordinate procurement of parts, services and labour with external vendors and contractors.
• Support vendor relationships and long-term supply agreements.
• Collaborate with shutdown planning teams to develop isolation strategies and resources.

We're seeking an organised and proactive Fixed Plant Processing & Operational Maintenance Planner to join our Processing and Maintenance team at Queensland's largest gold mine. This role is responsible for planning and scheduling the day-to‑day activities that keep our processing plant operating efficiently, from routine operational and laboratory tasks through to shutdown preparation, plant modifications, and improvement projects.

Working closely with Processing, Maintenance, Reliability, Warehouse, and Contractor teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring work is planned, resourced, and executed safely and effectively. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, detail-oriented professional who enjoys coordinating people, resources, and processes to maximise plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the work management process for the Processing Department, ensuring planned work is effectively scheduled and executed.
• Develop weekly processing and laboratory work schedules in collaboration with Processing Supervisors and Superintendents.
• Review work requests and develop detailed job plans, including labour, tooling, consumables, equipment, permits, and resource requirements.
• Monitor and report on key planning KPIs, including PM effectiveness, schedule compliance, and backlog management.
• Support plant improvement initiatives in partnership with Maintenance, Reliability, and Metallurgical teams.
• Develop work packages and procedures for complex activities, including tank cleanouts, inspections, and plant modification projects.
• Review completed work and continuously improve maintenance plans, PM routines, and CMMS data.
• Coordinate the procurement of parts, services, and labour with external vendors and contractors.
• Support vendor relationships and long-term supply agreements.
• Work closely with shutdown planning teams to develop shutdown preparation plans, isolation strategies, and resource requirements.

About You

You are a highly organised planner with a strong understanding of fixed plant operations and maintenance in a mining or heavy industrial environment. You enjoy coordinating work, solving problems, and working with multiple stakeholders to ensure operational activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to plan.

• Minimum 4 years' experience in Fixed Plant Maintenance, Electrical Trades, Processing Operations, or a similar heavy industry environment.
• Strong understanding of fixed plant equipment, processing operations, and maintenance planning principles.
• Experience developing work packs, schedules, procedures, and maintenance plans.
• Ability to interpret maintenance and operational documentation, including P&IDs and process flow diagrams.
• Understanding of maintenance execution requirements, including craneage, scaffolding, EWP requirements, isolations, and contractor management.
• Experience using CMMS software, with Pronto experience highly regarded.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Project experience preferred.
• Experience working with SCADA-supported processing operations is advantageous.
• Previous exposure to group isolations and permit systems, including isolation planning and coordination.
• Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
