Job summary

Mars Chocolate Ballarat is seeking an Electrical Technician to join the Reliability team, supporting maintenance across 4-shift operations and assisting with breakdowns to keep the chocolate factory running smoothly.

You will utilise SAP PM, record breakdowns, and apply Hazard Escalations for safe, efficient operations. An A-Grade Electrical License and experience in industrial manufacturing are required; food manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• A-Grade Electrical License.
• Experience in Industrial/Manufacturing maintenance including automation controls & PLC programming.
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capability.
• Willingness to work across multiple areas.
• Food manufacturing experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Responds to breakdowns with urgency, coordinating with Shift & Line Managers.
• Complete preventative maintenance and improve SAP PM data quality.
• Execute planned maintenance within scheduled windows without restart delays.
• Support Mars Supply Excellence initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
• Record breakdowns in SAP and communicate information clearly.
• Address Hazard Escalations and maintain safe work environments.

Mars Chocolate Ballarat has an opportunity for an Electrical Technician to join our Reliability experts who provide ongoing maintenance & support that keep our wonderful Chocolate factory running smoothly.

This role will work across our 4 shift (2 day – 2 night) teams to complete proactive maintenance tasks, support breakdowns based on business needs, and work with the broader Reliability team & Factory Operations.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Responds to breakdowns with agility, working with the relevant Shift & Line Managers to prioritise accordingly.
• Complete preventative maintenance work orders and drive the continuous improvement of the SAP PM system, by ensuring accuracy and quality of information.
• Completes planned maintenance works in scheduled windows, on time with no delays or impacts to restart.
• Support the cross functional application of Mars Supply Excellence to drive continuous improvement.
• Utilise SAP to record breakdowns to capture and communicate information effectively broader application of TRM in performing daily duties.
• Identify and complete assigned actions driven by Hazard Escalations and Area Safety. Checks to ensure safe work environments for all associates.
