Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) to guide Agile Release Trains, coordinate PI planning and synchronize delivery across multiple teams. You will manage dependencies, risks, and governance to ensure timely value delivery in a large-scale environment.

You will partner with Product managers and architects, drive continuous improvement, and promote Lean-Agile practices, DevOps, and mature delivery across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• : 8+ years of experience in Agile delivery, program management or Scrum leadership.
• : 3+ years of experience as an RTE, Lead Scrum Master or similar role in a scaled Agile environment.
• : Strong knowledge of SAFe Agile Framework.
• : Experience leading large, complex programs involving multiple Agile teams.
• : Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
• : Proven experience managing RAID, dependencies and delivery governance.
• : Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jira and Confluence.
• : Excellent communication, influencing and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

Role Summary

The Release Train Engineer (RTE) is a servant leader and coach responsible for facilitating Agile Release Train (ART) execution. The RTE drives alignment across multiple Agile teams, manages dependencies and risks, and ensures the successful delivery of business outcomes through effective planning, coordination and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Preferred Skills:

• SAFe RTE, SPC or SAFe Agilist certification.
• Experience delivering Data & Analytics, Cloud or Digital Transformation programs.
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD and release management.
• Experience working with distributed global teams.
