Job summary

Tech Mahindra is seeking an experienced Release Engineer/Release Manager to support enterprise delivery and governance across complex environments. You will coordinate releases, manage gating, and drive automation with DevOps, testing, operations, and security teams, including Salesforce environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with GitLab, Jenkins, and CI/CD, plus strong stakeholder management and agile delivery skills to ensure successful production deployments.

Qualifications

• Experience managing enterprise releases across multiple environments.
• Strong release governance and approval process knowledge.
• Experience coordinating releases across SIT/UAT/PPT/Production.
• Proficiency with GitLab, Jenkins, and CI/CD coordination.
• Familiarity with Salesforce release environments is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end release activities across SIT, UAT, PPT, and Production environments.
• Coordinate release planning, scheduling, deployment activities, and execution.
• Maintain release scope control, code freeze management, and deployment gating processes.
• Coordinate branching strategies, version control, and CI/CD activities using GitLab and Jenkins.
• Manage release approvals, change requests, CAB meetings, and governance processes.
• Prepare release artefacts, status reports, implementation plans, and deployment documentation.
• Facilitate Go/No-Go meetings and support hypercare activities following production releases.
• Coordinate delivery teams, testing teams, DevOps engineers, platform teams, operations teams, and security stakeholders.
• Support Salesforce release processes across Core and Commerce platforms.
• Manage sandbox promotion strategies, environment readiness, and deployment controls.
• Support deployment automation, rollback planning, and release risk mitigation activities.
• Drive continuous improvement across release management and deployment practices.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Release Engineer / Release Manager to support enterprise application delivery and release management practices across complex technology environments. This role is responsible for coordinating and governing software releases across multiple environments, ensuring deployment readiness, managing release risks, and facilitating collaboration between delivery, testing, DevOps, operations, platform, and security teams. The successful candidate will have experience working with Salesforce environments, CI/CD tooling, and enterprise release governance processes.

What You'll Need

• Experience with GitLab, Jenkins, version control, and CI/CD coordination.
• Strong understanding of deployment gating, code freeze management, and release controls.
• Experience managing release artefacts, reporting, implementation planning, and hypercare activities.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Experience working with Salesforce release environments is highly regarded.
• Exposure to Salesforce Core and Salesforce Commerce environments is advantageous.
• Experience using SFDX, GitLab, Terraform, Jira, and Confluence is highly desirable.
• Hands‑on deployment automation experience is advantageous.
• Experience supporting rollback strategies, environment promotions, and release orchestration.
• Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments is highly regarded.
