Job summary

XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Release Train Manager to lead agile delivery across multiple trains in Melbourne. The role involves enabling ARTs, coaching teams, and ensuring aligned execution with business priorities and architecture.

Qualifications

• Experience with Agile Release Trains and scaled agile frameworks.
• Proven facilitation and coaching skills for cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of PI planning, program boards, and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide a dedicated or fractional Release Train Engineer to support one or more Agile Release Trains.
• Act as a servant leader and chief facilitator across multiple Agile teams.
• Support alignment between business priorities, product management, architecture, and delivery teams.
• Proactively surface and escape delivery risks and systemic impediments.
• Partner with client leadership to resolve blockers impacting flow and outcomes.
• Establish and manage ART-level delivery visibility (PI Objectives, Program Boards, metrics).
• Provide clear reporting on progress, predictability, risks, and outcomes.
• Support executive and stakeholder communication on delivery status.
• Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and teams on scaled Agile practices.
• Facilitate Inspect & Adapt outcomes and drive measurable improvements.
• Support uplift of Agile maturity and ways of working.
• Ongoing managed service.
• Transitional role with handover to internal teams.
