Job summary

Big Umbrella in Sydney is seeking a Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our client, an innovative Workplace Health & Rehabilitation provider in NSW. You’ll manage a caseload of injured workers, support return‑to‑work outcomes, and deliver vocational assessments with telehealth options.

The role is Sydney‑based, with 3 days from home and 2 days at the Inner West office, plus travel across the region. We offer a salary of 85‑110K plus super, uncapped bonus, professional development and a supportive,

Qualifications

• ASORC-Accredited Rehabilitation Counsellor status (Associate or Full Member) required.
• 1 year Workplace Rehabilitation experience valuable.
• Confident communicator with ability to develop stakeholder relationships.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Driver's licence and car.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage a caseload of injured workers and support return to work.
• Vocational assessments and counselling.
• Attend case conferences and liaise with insurers, employers and providers to facilitate RTW outcomes.
• Focus on quality and achieving outcomes with reasonable billable expectations.
• Visit clients across Sydney region and deliver Telehealth from home.
• Build relationships and generate repeat referrals.
• Contribute to a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Train and coach other team members for experienced Consultants.

Organic growth has created the opportunity for a Rehabilitation Counsellor to join the team. Interest from RCs at all levels is welcome.

You’ll be Sydney based, working 3 days from home & 2 days from their Inner West office, & visiting clients across your local region.

The Role

• Vocational assessments & counselling

• Focus on quality & achieving outcomes, with reasonable billable expectations
• Visit clients across your local Sydney region & deliver Telehealth services from home
• Build great relationships & generate repeat referrals
• Actively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Training & coaching of other team members, for experienced Consultants
