Job summary

MedHealth, through WorkFocus Australia, invites applications for a Rehabilitation Consultant (Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist) in ACT. You’ll join a multidisciplinary allied health team to help injured employees regain independence and return to work through comprehensive assessments and tailored RTW plans.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised degree qualification with full accreditation in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology or Physiotherapy.
• Eligible for travel with a current vehicle and licence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
• Punctual, organised and time-efficient.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and identify RTW barriers and design/implement/monitor RTW programs.
• Undertaking assessments including activities of daily living, home, worksite, functional and ergonomic assessments.
• Identify Return to Work barriers.
• Liaise with clients, insurers, medical practitioners and employers to achieve outcomes.
• Develop and implement strategies to progress files and achieve RTW benchmarks with minimum costs.
• Design, implement and monitor programs that support injured employees back to work.
