Job summary

SSE is seeking an experienced regulatory professional to join its Regulation, Strategy and Planning Directorate. Based from UK locations with a 50% in-office requirement in Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness or Glasgow, you will advise the Transmission Board and lead submissions for funding and regulatory strategy to support a decarbonised power system.

You will steer cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder engagement with Ofgem, and mentor a small team to deliver high-quality outputs within tight

Qualifications

• Understanding of GB energy regulatory framework and key stakeholders.
• Ability to identify problems, propose solutions and implement them.
• Strong written and spoken communication to articulate complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory submissions and integrate strategic messaging with commercial insight.
• Secure funding from Ofgem under RIIO-T3 and related frameworks.
• Manage regulatory projects and coordinate across the SSE Group.
• Build and maintain relationships with Ofgem and other stakeholders, representing SSEN Transmission.
• Provide coaching and development to team members and grow team capability.
