Job summary

Department of Education Victoria's VECRA invites a Manager, Risk and Intelligence to lead the regulatory intelligence function. You will design intelligence frameworks, oversee risk-based regulation, and deliver timely insights to senior executives.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic influence and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments while building collaborative relationships across Victorian public sector partners.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in intelligence analysis, political relations, public administration, or related field would be highly regarded.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing intelligence functions, preferably within a regulatory environment.
• Demonstrated high-level analytical skills, including interpreting data and translating into actionable intelligence.
• Experience providing authoritative briefs and submissions to inform decision-making.
• Essential: A valid Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Lead the risk and intelligence team to deliver regulatory intelligence for VECRA.
• Design, implement and continuously improve intelligence frameworks, operating models, systems and processes.
• Provide authoritative strategic, operational and tactical intelligence advice to senior executives.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with VECRA, department colleagues and stakeholders.
• Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced regulatory environment.
