The Australian Passport Office (APO) and the Regulatory and Legal Policy Division (RLD) within the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade are seeking APS5 Risk and Assurance Officers to support risk management, internal controls and assurance arrangements.

APO operates in a high-value, high-risk environment; officers will assess whether controls are designed and operating effectively, document findings and contribute to improvements.

Qualifications

• Evidence-based assessments considering applicable law, policy and national interest.
• Maintain assurance records and prepare findings and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Undertake research, evidence collection, control documentation and assurance testing under general direction.
• Work with business areas to understand processes and controls, maintain accurate assurance records and prepare clear findings and recommendations.
