Job summary

Beaumont&Beaumont in Canberra is seeking an Investigations Officer (Regulatory) at the APS5 level to join the Regulatory Division within a Commonwealth Government Agency. The role is full-time, initially 12 months with potential extension, based in Canberra City Centre with hybrid options.

Qualifications

• Experience in Commonwealth Government or investigations preferred.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex information and provide timely, well‑reasoned advice.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering, analysing, and documenting information to support investigations into potential regulatory schemes.
• Apply data and intelligence tools to identify high‑risk behaviours and schemes.
• Prepare briefing materials, reports, and correspondence for decision‑makers.
• Support processing of funds in line with legislation and internal procedures.
