Job summary

The Federal Government invites applications for an Investigation Officer in Canberra. Join an expanding regulatory team protecting integrity and public trust across national framework operations.

You will gather and analyse information, use data tools, prepare briefing materials and reports, and engage with internal and external stakeholders. This contract role offers a 12-month term with extension options.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with compliance methodologies and data analysis tools.
• Experience in financial audits, quality assurance, regulatory reviews, or investigations.
• Strong analytical, prioritisation, adaptability, and communication skills.
• Certificate IV in Government Investigations is desirable / willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Gathers, analyses and documents information and financial records for investigations.
• Uses data/intelligence tools to identify high-risk behaviours and non-compliance schemes.
• Reviews documentation and records to identify gaps and advise executives.
• Prepares briefing materials, investigation reports, and formal correspondence.
• Engages with internal stakeholders and external participants while ensuring compliance.
