Job summary

PIMCO Europe Ltd. is seeking an Associate, Compliance - Regulatory to join our Sydney team. You will support the regulatory compliance programme, including screening of marketing materials, surveillance, AML/KYC reviews and incident management.

The role requires collaboration with senior staff and timely execution of licensing and reporting tasks. Based in Sydney, you will coordinate with APAC colleagues, prepare board packs, and contribute to design and enhancement of the compliance framework

Qualifications

At least 3 years working experience in legal, compliance or audit in financial services.
Degree qualified in either a finance/accounting/law discipline.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Self-motivated, resourceful and able to take initiative and work autonomously.
Ability to work under pressure with good organization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Manage and administer the firm’s compliance programme across marketing material reviews, AML/KYC checks, and surveillance.
Perform governance and reporting for compliance committees and the board.
Oversee licensing, regulatory inquiries, and reporting requirements with ASIC/AUSTRAC.
Coordinate internal and external audits and incident/breach management.
Provide general advisory to business and stay updated on regulatory developments.
Support client due diligence and maintain training registers for staff.
Assist regional APAC coverage and regulatory compliance matters as needed.
