Job summary

Toyota Motor Corporation Australia is seeking an Regulations Engineer to join the Product Planning & Development division in a full-time permanent role. The Regulations Engineer will help shape compliance frameworks and ensure our products meet ADR and certification requirements.

This position is based in Altona North with flexible working arrangements offered. You will liaise with stakeholders to apply regulatory changes and support project assessments across the business.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience supporting vehicle homologation, certification, and regulatory activities in automotive.
• Knowledge of Australian Design Rules (ADR) and vehicle certification requirements.
• Familiarity with UNECE/ECE standards and their application to vehicle compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for regulatory requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of regulatory compliance processes to meet certification requirements and business objectives.
• Assist in developing and improving compliance frameworks for vehicles to meet regulatory standards.
• Review ADR and government submissions to support compliance activities.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to communicate regulatory changes and updates.
• Contribute to project assessments evaluating impact of new regulations on the business.
• Monitor activities and compliance obligations, tracking performance and mitigating risk.
