Northern Health's Virtual Emergency Department seeks registered nurses to deliver video-based emergency care across Victoria. You will conduct assessments, provide evidence-based advice, and facilitate referrals within your scope of practice, working with a multidisciplinary virtual care team to support patients wherever they are.

The role offers hybrid flexibility, with opportunities to work from home or onsite at Northern Health, Epping campus, and requires a minimum four years

Qualificações

• Minimum four years post-registration experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Critical Care postgraduate qualification is desirable but not required.
• Demonstrates ability to independently undertake comprehensive patient assessments (adult and paediatric).
• Demonstrates advanced critical thinking to determine safe triage and care plans.
• Advanced IT and troubleshooting skills; able to work in rotating rosters including weekends and night shifts.

About the Role:

The Virtual Emergency Department provides 24-hour video consultations to patients and healthcare professionals across Victoria.

As a Virtual Registered Nurse, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and triage of adult and paediatric patients via video consultation
• Deliver evidence-based healthcare advice within your scope of practice
• Facilitate appropriate referrals and care pathways
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary virtual care team
• Support patients to access the right care, at the right time, in the right place

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking experienced Registered Nurses who are:

• Passionate about delivering outstanding patient-centred care
• Comfortable making clinical decisions in a fast-paced virtual environment
• Adaptable and confident using digital health technologies
• Excited by innovation and new models of care
• Strong communicators who thrive in a collaborative team environment

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A minimum of four years post registration experience as a Registered Nurse
• Critical Care post graduate qualification (not a prerequisite but desirable)
• Demonstrated ability to independently undertake comprehensive and timely patient assessments (adult and/or paediatric)
• Demonstrates advanced critical thinking skills to determine safe and accurate patient triage category and plan of care
• Advanced IT and trouble shooting skills
• Must be able to work a rotating roster including weekends and nightshifts
• Permanent full-time or part-time but must be able to commit to a minimum of 0.4EFT (32hr/fortnight)
