Job summary

Norwest Private Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse with a passion for urology and the surgical journey to join our dedicated perioperative team.

In a specialist urology ward, you will deliver safe, high‑quality patient care, work with a multidisciplinary team, and access ongoing professional development and career progression within Healthscope’s network.

Qualifications

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in surgical nursing.
  • Demonstrated experience in urology nursing.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care in line with best practice standards.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout treatment and recovery.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, medical specialists, allied health professionals and nursing colleagues.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in our Urology Ward, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality patient care and supporting patients throughout their recovery journey.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care in line with best practice standards
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout treatment and recovery
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, medical specialists, allied health professionals and nursing colleagues
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Advocate for patients and promote a culture of safe clinical practice
  • Support positive patient experiences through compassionate, person-centred care
About You

You are a passionate and skilled clinician who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in surgical nursing
  • Demonstrated experience in urology nursing
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Commitment to quality and safety standards
  • Sound understanding of ACQSHC National Standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
