Job summary

LDK Seniors’ Living is seeking a Part Time Registered Nurse to deliver nursing care to residents at The Landings, North Turramurra. You will supervise care staff on shift and lead clinical initiatives while upholding the values of Love, Decency and Kindness.

The role involves dementia and palliative care support, with on-site facilities and a focus on person-centred care. NSW-based applicants with appropriate registration are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Valid First Aid and CPR.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in Australia.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of current nursing practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

The Landings comprises 220 architecturally designed one, two and three -bedroom villas and apartments. About the role

As a Registered Nurse you will be required to deliver nursing care to village residents, including those requiring higher levels of care such as dementia and palliative care services. You will supervise Personal Care Assistants on shift, providing them with clinical leadership. Most importantly, you will be an advocate and promote the LDK values of Love, Decency and Kindness.

LDK offers an hourly rate per hour based on experience. We are looking for a Part Time Registered Nurses.

Shift times are:

• Sunday and Monday 10.30pm to 7:00am

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and comprehensive nursing care to village residents.
• Promote and deliver a holistic approach to care, focussing on the needs and rights of village residents in accordance with Consumer Directed Care (CDC) principles, including:
  • Assessment, prevention, early detection, referral and health promotion;
  • Quality customer care;
• Provide comprehensive, safe and effective evidence-based care to achieve identified individual health outcomes.
• Provide education to village residents oriented towards the promotion of health improvements.
• Provide support, direction and education to shift care team (EN & Personal Care Assistants) including newer or less experienced staff.
• Promote and contribute to clinical governance and quality management across LDK Healthcare policies, procedures and systems.
• Report practices that may breach legislation, policies and procedures relating to nursing practice or LDK Healthcare to the appropriate person.
