LDK Seniors Living is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Leader for The Landings retirement village, North Turramurra, to oversee maintenance, gardens and cleaning teams while upholding high standards of presentation and safety.

You will conduct regular asset inspections, coordinate contractors, manage preventative maintenance plans and ensure compliance across buildings, grounds and facilities, fostering a practical, values-led service culture.

Qualificações

• Experience leading maintenance, facilities or property services teams.
• Trade or tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline desirable.

LDK Seniors Living's luxury village, The Landings, is sprawled over 11.87-hectares in North Turramurra, on Sydney's upper north shore. The village neighbours the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, is near Lady Davidson Private Hospital, and is a short drive to the North Turramurra golf course, bowling club, cafes and shops. The Landings comprises 220 architecturally designed one, two and three -bedroom villas and apartments. LDK creates a true sense of belonging, community, and vibrancy for residents through a variety of group activities and hospitality events. On-site facilities include an arts and craft room, gymnasium and heated indoor pool. About the role

This is a visible, hands-on leadership role responsible for the maintenance, presentation and upkeep of The Landings retirement village. The role leads the maintenance, gardens and cleaning teams and ensures the village's buildings, infrastructure, grounds and assets are maintained to a high standard. The successful person will have a strong maintenance background, be highly practical in their approach, and be regularly out in the village inspecting assets, troubleshooting issues, coordinating contractors and suppliers, and working alongside team members when required. This role combines day-to-day maintenance leadership with long-term asset care, preventative maintenance planning and compliance management.

Role responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop the maintenance, gardens and cleaning teams, ensuring village buildings, infrastructure, grounds and assets are maintained to a high standard.
• Maintain a strong on-site presence, regularly walking the village, inspecting work, identifying issues and ensuring standards are consistently upheld
• Work alongside team members to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues, property defects, equipment failures and infrastructure concerns.
• Develop and implement asset management, lifecycle and preventative maintenance plans that support safe, compliant and well-presented village operations
• Coordinate daily priorities, workforce planning, contractor activity and resources to ensure maintenance and improvement works are delivered effectively
• Identify business improvement opportunities across property, maintenance, gardens and cleaning, including priorities, timing, budget and resources required
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to support capital works, preventative maintenance, compliance checks and service delivery standards
• Partner with teams across LDK to deliver system, process, service or property improvement initiatives from planning through to completion
• Ensure compliance checks are planned and completed for required equipment, facilities and property assets, including fire equipment, building requirements, warranties and equipment calibration

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience leading maintenance, facilities, property services or similar operational teams in a hands-on environment
• Tertiary qualifications in building, project management, facilities management or a related discipline are desirable
• Trade qualifications in a relevant building, mechanical, electrical or maintenance discipline are highly regarded.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets, capital replacement programs and contractor performance.
• Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning with practical, day-to-day operational delivery
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance, preventative maintenance programs, contractor management and compliance requirements
• Proven experience leading building maintenance operations, preventative maintenance programs, contractor management and asset upkeep across retirement living, aged care, hospitality, healthcare, education, local government or other large, complex, multi-service environments.
• Confident leadership style with the ability to coach teams, set clear standards and build a positive service culture
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and report writing skills
• Sound judgement, integrity, discretion and tact when dealing with residents, team members and confidential information
• Experience delivering change, process improvement or operational improvement initiatives
• First Aid and CPR certificate, or willingness to obtain
