Latrobe Regional Health's Tara Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in our acute clinical environment, working with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

In this role you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in quality improvement and ongoing professional development to support patients and their families throughout their healthcare journey.

Qualifications

• RN with current AHPRA registration and acute medical/surgical nursing experience.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join the Tara Unit. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care within an acute clinical environment, ensuring care is planned, implemented, evaluated, and continuously improved to achieve the best possible patient outcomes. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will play an integral role in delivering safe, evidence-based care while supporting patients and their families throughout their healthcare journey.

The role of the Registered Nurse is to:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care through assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring care is tailored to individual patient needs.
• Provide safe, responsive, and evidence-based clinical care while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety, quality, and wellbeing.
• Monitor patient progress, recognise changes in clinical condition, and respond appropriately using sound clinical judgement and critical thinking.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families to support coordinated care and positive health outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards, organisational policies, and legislative requirements.
• Actively participate in quality improvement, professional development, and patient safety initiatives to support excellence in clinical practice.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and demonstrated acute medical and/or surgical nursing experience.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills with the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to building positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
