Job summary

Primary Health Network in Cessnock, NSW is seeking a Registered Nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse for a part-time or casual contract, with a view to extension to FT as the practice grows.

The role includes administering childhood vaccinations, health assessments, wound care, assisting clinicians, and building rapport with patients of all ages. AHPRA registration, immunisation certification, CPR, and clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold current AHPRA registration.
• General practice experience preferred.
• Immunisation and Cold Chain Management certification.
• CPR certification.
• Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willingness to obtain).

Registered Nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse

Experienced Registered Practice nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, Part-time or Casual Contract 3 days per week with option to extend to 5 days with Full Time Permanent Contract as the practice grows.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Administering Childhood Vaccinations and Immunisations


• Conducting Health Assessments and Developing Care Plans


• Providing Wound Care and Applying Dressings


• Supporting Clinicians with Patient Observations


• Demonstrating Strong Time Management and Organisational Abilities


• Building Positive Relationships with Patients Across All Age Groups and Cultural Backgrounds


• Capable of Working Autonomously and Collaboratively within a Team Environment


• Willingness to Cover Staff Leave and Assist During Holiday Periods

Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:

• Current Registration with AHPRA


• Previous Experience in a General Practice Setting (preferred)


• Competent with Clinical Software and General Computer Use


• Certification in Immunisation and Cold Chain Management (required)


• CPR Certification


• Possession of, or willingness to obtain, a Working with Children Check and Police Check


• Hourly rate to be discussed directly with the Practice Manager and Practice Owner
