Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland’s St Stephens Private Hospital in Hervey Bay is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Oncology Ward. You will deliver holistic, patient‑centred care within a multidisciplinary team and support cancer care pathways.

We value a minimum 12 months’ acute care experience, chemotherapy familiarity, and ADAC qualifications, with ongoing professional development and flexible rostering to support work‑life balance.

Qualifications

  • 12 months’ experience in an acute hospital setting.
  • Previous chemotherapy experience.
  • Up-to-date Antineoplastic Drug Administration Course (ADAC) certificates.
  • Bachelor of nursing degree or equivalent and AHPRA registration.
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality improvements.
  • Willingness to obtain vaccinations in line with infection control requirements.
  • Availability to work across a fortnightly rotating roster.
  • Willingness to undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment.

Registered Nurse – Oncology Ward | St Stephens Hospital
  • Employment Term: Casual Opportunities Available
  • Location: St Stephens Hospital, Hervey Bay QLD
  • Remuneration: $42.50 - $54.62 p/hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our St Stephens team

As part of the Oncology ward, you will be accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care to individuals and their families, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes. You’ll deliver exceptional person‑centred care by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team, applying exceptional communication and customer service skills
