Job summary

Gallipoli Health Services Limited – Auburn NSW is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shifts in aged care to provide high-quality clinical care and support residents and staff.

You will manage medications, wound and palliative care, and contribute to care plans with residents and families, while coordinating after-hours staffing and maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current unconditional AHPRA registration.
• Minimum 2 years' experience, preferably in aged care.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently on night shifts.
• Experience leading care staff and supervising teams.
• Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and AN-ACC.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care, including medication management, wound care and palliative care.
• Assess residents and identify changes in health or behaviour, escalating concerns and updating care plans as required.
• Develop and review individualised care plans in consultation with residents and families.
• Liaise with families, medical practitioners and allied health professionals as required.
• Manage clinical matters and day-to-day care activities during the night shift, escalating issues to the Clinical Care Manager when required.
• Provide guidance, supervision and support to care staff and Neighbourhood Leaders.
• Coordinate after-hours staffing and allocate staff as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality.
• Promote a safe, respectful and positive environment.
• Contribute to quality improvement and ongoing professional development.

This role is ideal for an RN who is confident working independently overnight, providing high-quality clinical care and supporting residents and care staff in a safe and respectful environment.

Key responsibilities
