Job summary

Latrobe Regional Health in Gippsland, VIC, is seeking a Registered Nurse (ICU) to join our growing ICU team on a part-time (0.9 EFT) ongoing basis. You will provide high quality, patient‑centred care within a multidisciplinary setting, supported by a safe and respectful workplace culture.

Ideal applicants will hold current AHPRA registration and ICU nursing experience, with strong assessment and clinical judgment. LRH offers development opportunities and a supportive team.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred nursing care with comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • Apply critical thinking to support evidence‑based practice and informed decisions.

  • Collaborate with professionals to ensure continuity of care and patient goals.

Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Registered Nurse (ICU) to join our growing team on a part time (0.9EFT) ongoing basis.

The Registered Nurse (ICU) provides high ‑ quality, patient ‑ centred nursing care. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the role is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care to achieve optimal patient outcomes while ensuring the wellbeing of patients remains the primary focus of care.

The position delivers safe, evidence ‑ based nursing care, maintains professional practice standards and contributes to quality improvement initiatives that support exceptional healthcare outcomes and patient experiences.

The role of the Registered Nurse (ICU) is to:

  • Deliver safe, high ‑ quality nursing care through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
  • Apply critical thinking and clinical judgement to support evidence ‑ based practice and informed decision ‑ making.
  • Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients, families, carers and members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support continuity of care and achievement of patient goals and health outcomes.
  • Maintain professional competence through ongoing education, reflective practice and participation in professional development activities.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety and compliance with organisational policies, professional standards and NSQHS requirements.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Relevant clinical skills and recent nursing experience appropriate in ICU clinical settings.
  • Strong clinical assessment, care planning and problem ‑ solving capabilities supported by sound professional judgement.
  • A commitment to patient ‑ centred care, quality improvement and safe clinical practice.
  • Flexibility, adaptability and a commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
