Job summary

Southern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Registered Nurse for Ward 8E, a 21-bed Haematology/Transplant unit at Royal North Shore Hospital. You will provide care for patients undergoing chemotherapy, bone marrow transplantation, radiotherapy and other intensive interventions.

The role requires current AHPRA RN Division 1 registration, experience in an acute hospital setting, and strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration (Division 1).
• Current experience in an acute hospital environment with clinical knowledge and critical thinking.
• Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients undergoing chemotherapy, Bone Marrow transplantation, radiotherapy and other intensive interventions in Haematology/Transplant Unit.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including NUM, CNE and CNC.
• Adhere to immunisation and health screening requirements and NSW Health policies.

Ward 8E is a 21 bed Haematology/Transplant Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH). Join our incredible team!

You will care for patients requiring chemotherapy, Bone Marrow transplantation (including Auto, Allogenic and MUDtransplants),radiotherapy, blood products among other intensiveinterventions required when dealing with Haematological disorders. Staff are supported by the NUM, CNE and CNC based on the ward and through the hospital.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

• Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Current experience in an acute hospital environment, including examples of current clinical knowledge and critical thinking.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
