Job summary

Royal North Shore Hospital in NSW seeks a Registered Nurse for Ward 9A, part of the Northern Sydney Local Health District. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care within a multidisciplinary team to support safe patient outcomes.

You will work in a busy 30-bed general medical ward with opportunities for ongoing professional development and exposure to endocrinology, pain management and immunology care. NSW Health vaccination requirements apply.

Qualifications

  • Current experience in an acute hospital environment.
  • Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Registration as a Division 1 RN with AHPRA is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with the health care team.
  • Deliver patient centred care in Ward 9A medical ward.
  • Contribute to safe discharge planning.

Where you'll be working

Ward 9A is a challenging and rewarding 30 bed capacity medical ward with General Medicine, Endocrinology, Pain Management, and Immunology patients. You will be working within a multidisciplinary team focused on evidence-based patient centred care, health promotion and early intervention, to promote a safe discharge home or transfer to the appropriate post-acute hospital care.

What You'll Be Doing

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality patient care outcome.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
  • Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Current experience in an acute hospital environment.
  • Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
