Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred care to patients in High Dependency, Coronary Care and short-term ICU within the unit.
  • Care for complex and critically unwell patients and respond to rapidly changing clinical situations.
  • Participate in safety and quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance.
  • Precept and support nursing students and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Assist and lead shifts with two Registered Nurses on duty to ensure consistent care.

Join the recently renovated 5-bed Level 3 Close Observation Unit at Armidale Hospital, where you'll provide person-centred care to patients requiring High Dependency and Coronary Care, with short-term Intensive Care treatments also delivered within the unit.

Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, you'll care for complex and critically unwell patients while confidently responding to rapidly changing clinical conditions and emergency presentations.

All payments to part-time and contract employees will be made on a pro-rated basis in accordance with the terms of your contract, including any approved extensions.
