Job summary

Charingfield in Sydney’s eastern suburbs is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a casual role at our 68-bed aged care facility in Waverley. You will provide holistic care, develop and review resident care plans, supervise care staff, manage wounds, palliative care and medications, and liaise with medical teams.

The ideal candidate holds AHPRA Registration, has at least 2 years’ RN experience in aged care, with strong communication skills and willingness to work night shifts.

Qualifications

• AHPRA Registration as a nurse in Australia.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in aged care.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• NDIS check or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Holistic assessment in partnership with residents and representatives.
• Development and evaluation of individualised resident care plans.
• Supervision and support for Personal Care Workers.
• Clinical care including wound management, palliative care and medication management.
• Liaison with medical and allied health staff.
• Provision of safe, high-quality care in line with Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Positive resident experience through a resident-first approach.

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who is passionate about a person-centred approach to care, to join our beautiful 68 bed facility located in the leafy suburb of Waverley. Joining Casual, it is essential to have experience in a residential aged care environment, have flexible shift availability, and have a high level of empathy and compassion for our residents.
