Job summary

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join the Cardiovascular team. The role is full-time or part-time on a rotating Monday to Friday roster with on-call responsibilities, in a supportive Catholic private hospital across multiple sites in Melbourne.

You will work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, scrubbing, scouting and monitoring patients during cardiac and vascular procedures, and later admit, recover and discharge

Qualifications

• Experience in the Cath Lab or interventional cardiac procedures is required.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• There may be an opportunity to undertake a graduate certificate in Interventional Cardiology.

Responsibilities

• Scrubbing, scouting and monitoring patients during cardiac and vascular procedures.
• Admitting, recovering and discharging patients in the admissions/recovery area.
• Manage acute situations in a fast-changing clinical environment.

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne is a facility of St Vincent’s Health Australia under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries. We are a not for profit Catholic private hospital which operates acrossfour sites at Fitzroy, East Melbourne, Kew and Werribee.

The Cardiovascular Centre is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Cardiovascular team.This is a full time or part time permanent position on a rotating Monday to Friday roster including pro rata on call responsibilities.

ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:

You must demonstrate an ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, display excellent communication skills and be competent and capable in managing acute situations in a rapidly changing clinical environment.

Duties include scrubbing, scouting and monitoring patients during cardiac and vascular procedures, as well as admitting, recovering and discharging patients in our admissions/recovery area.

Experience inthe area/specialty is required. There also may be an opportunity forapplicants to undertake apost graduate certificate in Interventional Cardiology.
