Qualifications

• Nurse registered with AHRPA.
• ≥12 months cardiac cath lab experience.
• Interventional cardiology procedural skills (PCI, structural heart).
• Proven cardiac rhythm management skills.
• Invasive monitoring with arterial/right heart pressures/waveforms.
• Balloon pump and sheath management experience.
• Advanced Life Support is desirable.
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster.

Responsibilities

Strathfield Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Catheter Lab on a permanent, part-time basis.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in our Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, you will play a key role in supporting patients undergoing a range of complex cardiac and vascular procedures.Working collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders, you will contribute to safe, high-quality patient care throughout the procedural journey.

Your responsibilities will include supporting interventional cardiology and structural heart procedures, assisting with Cardiac Rhythm Management procedures, monitoring and recognising changes in arterial and right heart pressures and waveforms, and contributing to balloon pump management, sheath management and post-procedural recovery.

About You

You will be a trained nurse with exceptional customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:

• Relevant registration with AHRPA as a Registered Nurse.
• Must have minimum 12 months cardiac cath lab experience, vascular theatre nurses also welcome to apply.
• Interventional Cardiology procedural skills such as PCI and structural heart procedures.
• Proven cardiac rhythm management procedural and recovery skills.
• Invasive monitoring including recognition of arterial and right heart pressures/waveforms, and balloon pump management.
• Experience with sheath management pre/peri/post removal.
• Advanced Life Support (desirable).
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster.
