Job summary

Ramsay Health Care in Melbourne is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse with cardiac ward experience to support telemetry, pre- and post-procedures, and heart failure patients. You will work under the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to deliver high-quality patient care across a 24/7 rotating roster.

Applicants must be APHRA-registered with a nursing degree, have at least 12 months in a cardiac medical ward, and show strong teamwork, patient service and time management

• APhR A registration (APHRA) with nursing degree.
• Minimum 12 months experience in a cardiac medical ward.
• ALS, preceptorship and advanced wound care skills advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide care with guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders.
• Look after telemetry patients undergoing and recovering from cardiac procedures.
• Assist with Permanent Pacemakers, Pre Cardiac surgery patients and heart failure management.
• Prepare patients for and after cardiac diagnostic procedures.

This full-time opportunity you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered. Your role will include looking after a diverse range of patients requiring telemetry (Chest pain, Atrial Fibrillation, Atrial Flutter, pericarditis, PE), preparing patients undergoing and post cardiac diagnostic procedures, Permanent Pacemakers, Pre Cardiac surgery and post in their recovery phase and heart failure patients.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong clinical skillset in an acute care setting with experience in cardiac background.

• Registered with APHRA and relevant nursing degree.
• Minimum 12 months experience in cardiac medical ward setting looking after cardiac patients.
• ALS, perceptership and advanced wound care skills advantageous.
• Ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing team
• Exceptional customer service and time management skills

Remuneration

On offer for this position is a base hourly rate of$42.52 - $52.80+ superannuation, exclusive of penalties and allowances (VIC RN/Midwife Year 2 – Year 8*).
