Job summary

Juniper John Bryant in Marangaroo, WA, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our residential aged care team on a casual basis. You will assess residents, coordinate care with GPs and allied health professionals, and implement person-centred care plans to ensure high-quality care.

As part of our team you will guide care staff, maintain accurate clinical documentation, support AN-ACC assessments, and help ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards through infection prevention and quality

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• 2+ years’ RN experience in aged care (or equivalent)
• Strong clinical assessment and care coordination skills
• Ability to guide staff in wound and diabetes management
• Sound understanding of medication systems
• Excellent communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills

About the role:

Juniper John Bryant, located in Marangaroo, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our supportive residential aged care team on a casual basis.

In this role, you will assess residents’ clinical needs, coordinate care with healthcare professionals, and implement and review person-centred care plans. You will also provide guidance to care staff and help ensure high standards of clinical care for residents.

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse who is passionate about aged care and committed to delivering safe, high-quality care.

The successful candidate will be required to have availability through the week to cover planned and unplanned leave on an ad hoc basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct clinical assessments and respond to changes in resident health and wellbeing
• Develop, implement and review person-centred care plans in partnership with residents and their families
• Administer medications and provide clinical treatments in line with professional standards
• Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to care staff
• Liaise with GPs, allied health professionals and external providers to coordinate resident care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and reporting
• Support AN-ACC assessments and ensure accurate clinical documentation
• Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, policies and best practice
• Participate in infection prevention, risk management and quality improvement initiatives

Key Requirements:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• 2+ years’ experience as an RN in an aged care setting (or equivalent)
• Strong clinical assessment and care coordination skills
• Ability to guide staff in wound and diabetes management
• Sound understanding of medication systems
• Excellent communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
