HammondCare Wahroonga seeks an experienced After-Hours Nurse Manager to lead hospital operations after hours across multiple sites, ensuring safe, high‑quality patient care. You will supervise clinical staff, coordinate staffing and respond to emergencies while collaborating with nursing and operations leadership.

Registration with AHPRA and post‑registration experience in palliative care or rehabilitation are required.

Qualifications

• Currently registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Post‑registration experience in palliative care, rehabilitation, or specialist mental health.
• Tertiary qualifications in management or significant management-level experience.
• Experience with diverse linguistic/cultural backgrounds and languages.
• Experience managing a multi-site remote team and staff.
• Strong administrative, computer and technology skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Empathy and patience in care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational management and clinical leadership after-hours (evenings, nights, weekends, holidays).
• Supervise staff and coordinate patient care to meet occupancy and acuity needs.
• Implement business continuity and disaster plans when required, escalating to senior leadership.
• Lead quality improvement projects and maintain high safety and care standards.

## Registered NurseApply: Wahroonga: Casual: Posted Today: End Date: November 14, 2026 (14 days left to apply): REQ3915# **About the position**The After-Hours Nurse Manager is a key member of the HammondCare Health and Hospitals management team who works within the Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action of HammondCare to provide operational management, clinical professional leadership and supervision after-hours (evenings, nights, weekends and on public holidays).You will be a vital link across the team, you will support and assume the after-hours responsibilities and duties of the overarching operational management to ensure effective patient care and staff management to meet identified needs.
